single, team drivers and super single to run Canada & USA. Owner Operator base out of Calgary, AB.
Winnipeg, MB or Mississauga, ON.

Driver Requirements

  • 12 months of verifiable international, over-the-road experience
  • Valid FAST driver card or be eligible to apply for FAST card
  • Must accept Penner dispatch US & Cdn duration of 8 to 10 days
  • Cdn Commercial Drivers Abstract and US PSP must meet company standards
  • Tractor tare weight, full of fuel, cannot exceed 21,000 lbs
  • Tractor fifth wheel height must not exceed 47 inches
  • Must pass government periodic mandatory vehicle safety inspection

 

Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver NOC 73300

Job Duties:

  • Operate and drive tractor-trailer trucks weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and materials over long distances
  • Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, turning signals, brakes, cold storage
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Record cargo information, Hours of Service, and customs clearances
  • Administer Bills of Lading and manually or electronically maintain log books
  • Communicate with the dispatcher, other drivers, and customers using communication devices and on-board computers
  • May transport dangerous goods in Canada
  • Driver must be willing to relocate to Steinbach, Manitoba

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Wage/Salary:

Penner International Inc. will pay drivers a minimum income of $29.81 per hour annually subject to a minimum of 40 hours of work per week. The total annual wage is based on mileage and, therefore, Drivers have the opportunity to earn yearly wages in excess of $64,389.60 based on mileage worked under the Company's established mileage rates. Drivers have the potential to earn upwards of $65,000 annually. A typical work week consists of 40-60 hours as per Hours-of-Service regulations.

For sgl : $0.5329 Mile, paying in Canadian $

For team : $0.7006 miles ( team split), paying in Canadian $

Paid  Load/ Unload event- $25.49 per event

Position/ run:

The run: Manitoba, Canada-MID. West US-Ontario, Canada-Manitoba Canada

Monthly mileage approx. 10 000+ or team 20 000+

Home terminal: Steinbach, MB. The driver will be working over the road for 7-9 days in Canada and USA
